The Ethiopian Cross
at the Bargello Museum in Florence

The Bargello Museum in Florence holds an exquisite Ethiopian Cross of unknown provenance, datable to the 15th century. During my residency at I Tatti, I collaborated with other scholars to learn more about this object. We first convened in a seminar, and later produced a Masterclass dedicated to this unique object. In the ensuing months, some us took the collaboration further and authored an article with our findings.
